Vacláv Adam is born on September 26, 1905, to a working class family in Prague. He becomes a career officer and in 1939 is a captain assigned to the Czechoslovakian defense ministry. Srstka brings him into the illegal organization, where he is primarily involved in supporting persecuted resistance fighters. Vacláv Adam is arrested on December 20, 1941, and on June 1, 1943, he is murdered together with his friends in Plötzensee.
