Albert Tamboer
The Dutch coachman Albert Tamboer began working in Berlin in 1942. On October 30, 1944, he stole two tins of fish from the basement of a bomb-damaged building. He ate one ot them immediately and concealed the other on his person. The Berlin Special Court IV sentenced him to death for this offense on November 14, 1944. Albert Tamboer was beheaded in Plötzensee prison on November 30, 1944.
